Guys' words of wisdom

Guy told me today that when he was in the cages and people would come by looking for a kitty to adopt, he always thought it would be him. Then when it would be another kitty, he would be happy for that kitty and hope that the next time would be his turn. One couple that he really liked filled out an application for him and he was so happy. Then they changed their mind and Guy said he gave up hope for awhile. Three weeks later Mike and Mona came and picked him to be my playmate. Guy said we should never give up hope because there's a larger force controlling us. Not sure what he meant but I'm going to try to never give up hope again (not that I really hope much as long as I'm fed and have water and toys to play with).
